Uniform

Pupils at KDA pride themselves on dressing smartly in the correct uniform.  No watches or jewellery (including earrings) to be worn in any class.  Most uniform is available at the academy.  Shoes for the younger children are also available.  It is important to have ballet shoes fitted in a reputable dancer’s shop or here at the academy.

Ballet

​

• Baby, Preliminary, G1, G2, G3 ballet: plum pink leotard and skirt, plum pink wrap around cardigan, ballet socks, pink hair band, pink satin ballet shoes.​

• G4 upwards: navy blue leotard, ballet tights, satin ballet shoes with ribbons.

• Alternative: white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks and black ballet shoes.
   

Contemporary

• G1- G3: green velour leotard and black leggings, bare feet.

• G4 upwards: black velour leotard, black shorts optional and black leggings, bare feet, foot grips optional.

• Alternative: t-shirt and black jazz trousers/leggings, bare feet.
   

Modern

• Velour leotard and black leggings, black split sole jazz shoes.

• Alternative: t-shirt and black shorts or jazz trousers
   

Tap

• Velour leotard, black leggings, black tap shoes.

• Alternative: t-shirt and black shorts or jazz trousers
